In the of the context of “Snapshots from the Boarders”, a co-funded project by the European Union and on the occasion of #WorldRefugeeDay, the MSc “Global Health – Disaster Medicine”, School of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens along with the Jean Monnet Chair “EU Humanitarian Medicine and Response in Action” organized an open discussion regarding the healthcare challenges of people on the move during Covid – 19 period.

The MSc “Global Health – Disaster Medicine” of School of Medicine of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens along with the Medical School of Bern, Switzerland,under the support of WHO Country Office and the cooperation of the 1st and 2nd Psychiatry Clinic of School of Medicine, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens organized a mental health with online lectures, open discussions, and practical seminars on psychosocial resilience in practice through tools and practices.

During this initiative have participated renowned scientists from Greece, Switzerland and Great Britain

“2nd Webinar “COVID 19: Civil Society and Refugee Flows”

The MSc “Global Health – Disaster Medicine” of Medical School, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) organized on 27/7/2020 the second Webinar on “COVID 19: Civil Society and Refugee Flows”, in the framework of the project “Snapshots from the Boarders” co-funded by the European Union. In the Webinar participated representatives from Doctors of the World, the Greek Forum of Refugees, the MSc “Global Health – Disaster Medicine”, as well as the Hellenic Refugee Council and the NGO Solomon, discussing the next steps in the Covid-19 pandemic era and the management of refugee flows.

In the Webinar participated representatives from Médecins Sans Frontières, NGO Solomon, MSc “Global Health – Disaster Medicine” and the open community of volunteers COVID-19 Response Greece, analyzing how civil society organizations organized to manage the pandemic.
